The regulation for equipment used in potentially explosive atmosphere, therefore classified explosion proof, is based on the Technical Regulation 012/2011 of the Eurasian Customs Union (TR CU 012/2011).
This TR CU applies to electrical equipment, including Ex-components, and non-electrical equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres. Identification criterion is the availability of means providing their explosion protection as specified in the manufacturer's technical documentation and the explosion-proof marking affixed on the equipment and the Ex-component.
Conformity assessment (certification) of equipment is mandatory. To provide TR CU Ex-proof Certificate of Conformity, factory inspection and sample testing are required. TR CU Ex-proof Certificate will be issued with an Ex-Attachment with all important technical data and specifications regarding explosion proof characteristics of the subject equipment.
