Fire Safety
A Fire Safety Certificate confirms product compliance to requirements for fire safety established in the Russian Federation. Fire Safety includes the following concepts: fire-proof efficiency, fire resistance, gas- and smoke-tightness, flame propagation etc.
The Federal Law "Technical Regulation on Fire Safety requirements" No.123-FZ dated 22.07.2008 governs all issues regarding fire safety certification.
Procedures for confirmation of products' compliance to fire safety regulations may differ. The choice between different certification schemes depends on validity (1-5 years) and either the product is manufactured in serial production or batch imported. Cost and time of certification may also vary.
The decision to issue Fire Safety Certificate is based upon comprehensive analysis of test report, state of production (if it is defined in certification scheme) and other documents confirming products' compliance.

The list of items required for certification are listed below.
Serial manufacturing products certification:
- All essential information pertaining to the manufacturing company and the applicant party
- Product catalog or a description of the product
- A sample of certified products (required) for carrying out independent tests
- Technical specifications for this product
- Completed application
Batch certification:
- All essential information pertaining to the manufacturing company and the applicant party (representing the interests of the supplier)
- Product catalog or a description of the product
- A copy of the contract according to which the products will be supplied
- A sample of the certifiable product (required) for carrying out independent tests
Turnaround time - 2 to 10 weeks, depending whether tests are required or not.
